Laurette Langille

Laurette Langille has a long blues history in the Pacific Northwest. She has performed extensively as a solo acoustic artist, fronted electric bands and worked as a sideman in a variety of blues acts. The Fabulous NitecrawlersExcitable, The Langille Band, Editorials, Stompkitchen, Seattle Women in Rhythm and Blues, Rebecca Valrejean Band, Badd Dog Blues Society, and the Blues Mutha's all preceded her work with Rogue Paradise Blues.
For a number of years she coordinated the bands and stage managed the
It All Ends In Fairhaven Ski to Sea Festival stage. It was Langille who insisted on  a music jury selection process for the event as a condition of her coordinating the stage. She produced the three stages at the Old Town Folk Music Festival and has volunteered as an emcee as sound technition at the Northwest Folklife Festival.
Laurette  was part of the original
Stompkitchen band (Darcy Haughian, Lori Meltzer and Langille) primarily as a sideman on slide guitar, harmonies and harmonica. Early Stompkitchen focused on Old Time Country, Bluegrass, Folk and Cajun music, so it was quite a genre education for Langille who was a purist blues artist at the time. She was the band's frontperson by the time Stompkitchen evolved into Rogue Paradise Blues.
Langille sings the blues and plays a variety of instruments in
Rogue Paradise Blues , performs as a solo blues artist and hosts the Buffalo Blues Invitational at the Wild Buffalo.

Laurette in a rare non-instrument vocal moment, surely there must be a harmonica nearby at this Rogue Paradise Mardi Gras private party.
