Buffalo Blues Invitational Jam
Every Tuesday

hosted by Laurette Langille at The Wild Buffalo in Bellingham
Blues reigns on stage at Bellingham's
Wild Buffalo,
208 W. Holly Street,
every Tuesday at 8pm.  The venue's  Blues Invitational Jam is hosted by Laurette Langille and features many of the professional blues players from Seattle north to the Canadian border. Each blues show includes a guest musician as part of the house band for the night.

Upcoming  guests in the house band:

Tues., May 29
Johnny Brewer

Perhaps he should operate under the temporary moniker "3 Finger Jack', as he is recovering from a severe hand injury! This energized guitarist can still hold his own with the best even if he is shy a pinky. Johnny Brewer has a solid reputation, deservedly earned, as a dynamic lead guitarist. He's played with pretty much everyone in these parts, both rock 'n rollers and blues artists, and headlined his own power trio
Steel Blu with Eric Turner and Gary B in the 1990's.

Tues., June 5
Greg T. Pitsch

Souhern fried blues from this dynamic Whatcom county musician! Greg Pitsch has a strong stage presence. Vocals are his absolute forte but he also holds his own on harp and guitar. For many years his band
Special Delivery was a staple of the regional bar circuit. These days Greg spends much of his time in his studio songwriting and recording. Mount Vernon audiences have enjoyed his recent Thursday appearances at Altheas with Ed Solem.

Tues., June 12
Marvin J

A Hammond B3 sounds like nothing else in the world, it adds a fat sustain to the blues and just happens to be Marvin J's favorite instrument. Marvin will also be bringing electric piano into this Wild Buffalo jam, so all you keyboardists are welcome. Marvin usually shows up to the jam in a tux, straight from his gig at a local hotel, so we like to call him the sharp dressed man. He brings lots of tunes and lots of musician friends, it should be a hopping all night long!

Tues., June 19
Frank 'Sonny Boy' Snow

Blues guitarist Frank 'Sonny Boy' Snow lives farther down that I-5 corridor these days, but when he lived in Bellingham he was in bands like
Debbie Maguire's State Street All Stars and Rogue Paradise Blues. Many will remember Frank from his stage work at the 3-B Tavern Blues Jam with Laurette Langille and Kevin Short. Longtime musical pal of Texas Jimmy Drounette, Pat McFarland and Daddy Treetops, we usually only see Frank when one of those cats are featured. Well, tonight it's Frank on guitar, so come on out all you singers!!

Tues., June 26
Kimball Conant

Usually you'll find Kimball playing the blues with his band
Kimball Conant & The Fugitives with Stickshift Annie down in Seattle and there abouts. He makes it north to Bellingham's Wild Buffalo for the last Tuesday in June. Kimball has chops that cover the genre spectrum, it's not unusual to hear him infuse his guitar solos with jazz, latin or even surfer elements. He's fresh, soulful and focused on tone. Come out to hear and jam with this fine musician.

No Jam on July 3rd
Happy Independence Day!

We're still filling in those July Tuesdays, but check out who's coming into the blues jam at the end of July!!!!

Tues., July 31
Rockin Richard Shuman &
Dan Diego Edgerton

Musicians:
The Buffalo Blues Invitational is a BLUES ONLY show, there are
numerous other locations for you to perform other styles of music in an open mike format, including  other open format shows held at The Wild Buffalo , 208 W. Holly in Bellingham.

Keeping the loyal Bellingham blues audience at the Buffalo in the room is a real priority for this show. Therefore lengthy rambling solos, not giving stage space to other performers, sloppy songs and excessive volumes may get you removed from the stage. Gosh, not trying to scare away potential blues players, just trying to keep the quality of the Every Tuesday  blues event high.

Performers invited by host Laurette Langille have stage priority
early in the evening. If they are late those stage spots will be given to performers who have actually shown up and are ready to go onstage.

Signing up to play:
You will need to be at the Wild Buffalo
in person on any Tuesday  to sign in beginning at 7pm, the show begins at 8pm. If there are circumstances that require advance confirmation (like living in a far away county) please email the show's host Laurette Langille at nwblueswoman@yahoo.com . Messages left at the bar, other musicians, or employees of the bar, will not be considered as signing in.
